Tracks, 2022

Tracks is an electroacoustic composition developed for the space of Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof. The artist takes the room’s history as a starting point and dives into the sonic world of the railway, utilising its underlying harmonic, rhythmic and textural potential. He plays with the recognisability of the sound, contrasts between inside and outside, as well as with communication signals of the rail transport world. This way, the well-known horns, squeals and clickety-clacks are getting estranged, transformed and combined into vaguely familiar soundscapes.
