Bio:
Organic, wild and loud is what describes the artworks of Nick Wachs (*2000, Hamburg) best. Their artworks explore and digest personal feelings and fears of being alienated by the modern society and digital space. Fluidity, neon colors and distorted skin are visuals that can be found in any of their works. Their interest in levels and layers in the social structure but also as a physical component brought the artist into integrated (social) design studies at first. Wachs improved their knowledge about textures and social design there and transformed it into textiles and fluid photography. In 2020 the artist then changed their major to fine art studies at the university of fine arts Hamburg (HfBK). The artistic practice of Nick Wachs focuses mainly on installation, wallsculptures and digital photography. Components such as distorted skin, organic shapes and uncommon colors build an aesthetic that tries to face and celebrate the inner self. Let it shine!
