Vika Kirchenbauer is an artist, writer and music producer based in Berlin. With particular focus on affective subject formation, she examines violence as it attaches to different forms of visibility and invisibility, and considers the ways in which subjects are implicated in and situated within institutional power structures. Recently, the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, has presented a comprehensive solo exhibition of Kirchenbauer’s work, titled FEELINGS THAT MOVE NOWHERE. Her films and installations have been exhibited in group shows and screenings at, among others, the Tainan Art Museum, Taiwan; the Whitechapel Gallery, London; Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen; the Berlin International Film Festival, the New York Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Vika Kirchenbauer ist eine in Berlin lebende Künstlerin, Autorin und Musikproduzentin. Mit besonderem Fokus auf affektive Subjektbildung untersucht sie die sichtbaren und unsichbaren Erscheinungsformen von Gewalt, und reflektiert dabei die Umstände, unter denen Subjekte in gesellschaftliche Machtstrukturen verwickelt und innerhalb dieser situiert sind. Kürzlich präsentierte der Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, eine umfassende Einzelausstellung von Kirchenbauers Arbeit mit dem Titel FEELINGS THAT MOVE NOWHERE. Ihre Videos und Installationen wurden in Gruppenausstellungen und Screenings u. a. im Tainan Art Museum, Taiwan, in der Whitechapel Gallery, London, in der Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Kopenhagen, bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen Berlin, beim New York Film Festival und beim Toronto International Film Festival gezeigt.

Non-knowledge, Laughter and the Moving Image is an artistic research project led by Annika Larsson. The project is funded by the Swedish Research Council and done in collaboration with The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and the HFBK–Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg.

Non-knowledge, Laughter and the Moving Image ist ein künstlerisches Forschungsprojekt unter der Leitung von Annika Larsson. Das Projekt wird gefördert durch das Swedish Research Council in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Royal Institute of Art Stockholm und der HFBK — Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg.
